Clinic Director - Doctor of Physical Therapy

Elias was born and raised in Washington state but moved to Tennessee in 2021. He graduated from Eastern Washington University with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and then worked for an out-patient private practice. He was a clinic director and partner of the practice for seven years. He is married with five children and enjoys boating, hunting, camping, small farming/gardening, and supporting his children in their sporting activities. He is involved in his church and his favorite quote is Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord and not for men."

Hayden Ervin, PTA

Hayden was born and raised in Smithville TN. Obtained his associate’s degree in PTA at Volunteer State Community College in 2016. While at Volunteer State Community College, his third clinical rotation was at Cumberland Physical Therapy, in which he had the privilege to have Lisa West as his Clinical instructor. Hayden has been working for Cumberland Physical Therapy since 2016. He pursued the field of physical therapy after a lot of thought and prayer. He believes it is what the Lord called him to do. Hayden strives to help every patient receive the care they need to achieve the goals for the betterment of their life. Outside of physical therapy Hayden enjoys spending time with his wife, family and church. He enjoys playing golf, hunting/fishing, and watching Tennessee Volunteer athletics.

JoAnne Bailey, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

JoAnne Bailey was raised in North Georgia where she and her family were very active members of the community both in North Georgia and their neighboring town of Chattanooga, TN.

She attended Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, TN where she began a love of outdoors, hiking, kayaking, etc... And fostered her sense of adventure by participating in all the intramurals her schedule would allow and by being on the dance team for the football and basketball teams.

It was also at Carson Newman that JoAnne met her future husband, Lee, and where she discovered her passion for anatomy and physiology.  She earned her bachelor's degree in physical education with an emphasis in Exercise Science.  Realizing that she had a love for helping people she pursued further education at Walter States Community College where she received her PTA degree and license in 1997.

JoAnne and Lee were married in 1993, and their adventure began, eventually having 4 children, Max, Levi, Emma and Audrey.  Her greatest joys have been exploring the world with her family while still staying active in the local community by teaching wellness classes at the local YMCA, serving at her local church and participating and leading in the local homeschool co-op.

After graduating with her PTA degree, she worked at a nursing home before she and Lee became parents.  At that point, JoAnne took several years off to help raise their family as she served her family as a stay-at-home mom, and she homeschooled all 4 children through high school.

After the youngest was old enough, JoAnne felt a pull to get back to serving the community outside the home and renewed her license.

The past 5 years JoAnne has thoroughly enjoyed getting back to helping people heal from surgery, getting them back on their feet and making new friends along the way.

Now empty nester, Joanne and Lee love to travel, hike and seek adventure but the local community is still where their heart is.
